The Latino population in America is growing every day. They are not only the largest minority in the US, but are also playing a key role in shaping America’s social, economic, and even political landscape. And organizations in the public and private sector are not blind to realize the opportunities Latinos represent to their business — including more fundraising pools to target for non-profits, more consumers for product-related organizations, and more clients for services-related organizations.

Being a Latino is not just about being born in a Latin American country and moving to the US, or as in many cases being born and raised in the US within a Latino family. Being a Latino involves a complex process of self-identity, awareness, adaptation, and sometimes even conflicts of interest.

Engaging Latinos seeks to close the gap between Americans and Latinos by bringing them together through news stories from Latin America translated into easy-to-digest posts in English, and looking how to engage Latinos as users, consumers, and business targets for American organizations.
